Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Nile Productivity LLC ("Lynal", "we", "us"), a Texas limited liability company, governing your use of the Lynal mobile app and related services (the "Service"). Please also read our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & acceptance

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (the app enforces this at sign-up). If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. The Service

Lynal is a personal life-tracking app. You log habits, moods, workouts, journals, dreams, goals, social activity and optional income, and the Service turns them into scores (your "Life Score" and pillar scores), streaks, trends, badges, leaderboards, leagues, and AI-generated insights delivered by our assistant feature, Lyli. Features vary by subscription tier and may change, expand, or be discontinued over time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. Accounts are personal — do not share your account or let others use it. Notify us at support@lynal.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal

The Service offers a free tier and paid auto-renewing subscriptions (currently "Pro" and "Max"), available on monthly or annual billing where offered. Some paid plans may include a free trial.

• Pricing and trials are displayed in the app at the point of purchase and are set through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The price and any trial length shown at purchase govern.
• Billing. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google through your App Store / Google Play account, subject to their terms. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
• Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
• Manage / cancel. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription in the app (Settings → Subscription → Manage) and in your Apple/Google account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
• Restore. Use Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases to re-associate a prior purchase with your account.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we generally cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices or plan features; changes apply to future billing periods, and where required we or the platform will notify you and seek any consent the law or store requires before a renewal at a new price.

5. AI, wellness & no professional advice

Lyli and the Service provide general self-improvement and informational content only. They are not medical, mental-health, psychological, therapeutic, nutritional, financial, legal, or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for a qualified professional.

• Do not rely on Lyli, your scores, or any AI output to make health, financial, or other significant decisions. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation.
• Lynal does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. If you have a medical or mental-health concern, consult a licensed professional.
• In an emergency or crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately. The Service is not designed for emergencies and cannot provide emergency help.
• Fitness. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program or acting on workout suggestions. You are solely responsible for exercising safely and within your ability.

You use Lyli and the Service at your own discretion and risk.

6. Your content & license to us

You own the content you create in the Service — your journals, dreams, check-ins, logs, goals, and other entries ("Your Content"). You grant Nile Productivity LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including computing your scores and sending relevant excerpts to our AI processor (Anthropic) to generate insights, as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups retained briefly in the ordinary course and anything the law requires us to keep.

You represent that Your Content is yours to submit and does not infringe others' rights or violate any law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Manipulate, forge, automate, or otherwise game your scores, streaks, badges, leaderboard placement, or league standing, or interfere with how they are calculated;
• Harass, abuse, impersonate, spam, or send unwanted friend requests or content to other users;
• Upload or submit other people's personal information without a lawful basis, or content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, or harmful;
• Access the Service by automated means, scrape it, probe or breach its security, or attempt to access data that is not yours;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

We may remove content, reset scores or standings, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

8. Leaderboards, leagues & public profiles

The weekly league is part of the Service: each week you are placed in a small cohort where other members can see your username, your weekly Life Score change, and your league placement. Your first name, photo, and profession are shown to other users only if you enable a public profile; while your profile is private (the default) you appear everywhere as your username only. Global and regional leaderboards are opt-in and off by default, and income figures are visible only if you separately enable "Show income" on a public profile. You are responsible for what you choose to make public. We may reset, adjust, or remove standings and entries to preserve fair and accurate competition or to enforce these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Service — including the Lynal and Lyli names, logos, software, design, and the content we create — is owned by Nile Productivity LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service except as these Terms or the law allow.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (including Apple, Google, Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat, PostHog, and Expo). Your use of features involving them may also be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services. In-app purchases are additionally governed by the applicable app-store terms and EULA.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (for example ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) survive.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that scores, insights, or AI output will be accurate or reliable. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nile Productivity LLC and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nile Productivity LLC and its owners from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

15. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the effective date and post the revised Terms at this page, and where appropriate provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

16. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to first try to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting support@lynal.app. If a dispute is not resolved, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Texas, unless applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

17. Apple App Store additional terms

If you download the app from the Apple App Store, the following also apply and, in case of conflict with the rest of these Terms as to Apple, control:

• These Terms are between you and Nile Productivity LLC only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Your license to use the app is limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; any support questions go to us at support@lynal.app.
• To the extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app, and any claims relating to the app (including product-liability, legal/regulatory non-conformance, or consumer-protection claims) are our responsibility, not Apple's.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing third-party intellectual-property claims relating to the app.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. restricted-parties list.
